It fell to me to do the Flight to the Ford scene! I was a bit stumped at first. How would I be able to relate this in our Role Play without re-writing or plagiarizing Tolkien? I finally came up with a solution. I changed fonts and indented the actual Ford Scenes while using my own words to describe the action as best as I could and still keep the story true. There were a few places where I did have to use Tolkien’s own written word and those I italicized to designate them.

Funny thing.....It did not post the way I had it planned! Where <DIR> <DIR> appears is where I had indented! The action of "Flight to the Ford" is now bolded to differentiate it from our activities and comments!

Excellent!! I enjoyed the interweaving very much, and particularly the confusion/mystery regarding Glorfindel. Is it 'our' Glor, or Tolkien's?? Very nice touch.

I must (growls here) agree with DaleAnn, Stormrider, your adroit handling of the situation RE: the "Lil Smoker," skilfully frees the original Adv. in ME of exotic content allowing your group to dispense with the intrusions of the "Karo6 Line." I think this puts you all back onto your initial plot track of "shadowing" the primary Fellowship through the orthodox line of adventures as laid down by Tolkien. At the same time it allows the largely "spoofing" dream-world -line of the Small Green Dragon to continue on the other topic thread, if necessary, as a separate, more tongue-in-cheek venture. Nicely Done, Stormrider - and well-written too!
*Note my use of two "a's" in this word, Popo? I am trainable even if frequent acts of patient and repeated tuition are required (together with re-inforcing snackable rewards)!!!

Bravo and well done, Stormrider. I was especially excited by the way you interspersed the original Tolkien crossing with the observers. Exceptional!! And the dream sequence, well, I was OTFLOL!!!!

Thank you Karo6:
I really enjoyed your descriptive handling of your little farce as well. I could picture every event you wrote about very clearly and I was laughing constantly. I could picture Algy, Glor, and Rivers especially well! LOL! Sorry guys, it was funny! I especially enjoyed the part about the Eye of Sauron and I hope you don't mind my borrowing a little of it for our Role Play....it will fit in nicely later.

No need to be sorry Storm I laugh when Karo6 was giving you and Dale Ann the business and I think his comments on me and he guys are equally funny especially the drool and accent he gave me. In fact he may have hit the nail on the head if I had to go without that long I very well may have went along with some outrageous scheme to get set up on a date after checking IDs of course(16 will get you 20).

Thank You, Stormrider. You bet, use any of the material you want, its part of the common pool now anyway! Just don't let DaleAnn go chasing after Small Green Dragons anymore, they seem to come out of such collisions much worse for the wear!

A Didgeridoo, which I have never heard of, is mentioned in Adventures of Middle Earth.
Annie directed me to some web sites, and I thought I would share what I learned in case someone else was also mystified.
A Didgeridoo is an Australian wind instrument made from a hollow tree branch, such as eucalyptus, tek, bamboo, or sometimes from plastic.
Legend has it the instrument was born during Dreamtime, when a Great Ancestor
pulled a hollow limb out of a fire. He blew the termites out of it which flew into the sky and became stars. So doing, he noticed the deep and beautiful sound produced by his blowing.
Another story tells how hundreds of aborigines deterred a tidal wave by playing their didgeridoos together.
I found this information, sound clips, and more at home.nordnet.fr/~jdestombes/
Regards,
Sparrow

Rivers, sorry that it took me a few days to post this comment. While I read your post, I was in stitches as usual, laughing over your antics and acrobatics. I really can see you flying through the air and landing facing Annie on HER horse.
You are, definitely, our funniest writer! Thank Goodness you write with us because without you we'd probably end up to be really stuffy and serious.
And, also, thanks for allowing yourself to be the comic relief for the rest of us. We need you! Too bad Alg is taking you away for a few days...lol.

Overjoyed to provide some comic relief its a full time RL job anyway so I have experience. Very astute on the getting myself in hot water comment Algy everbody has to take a lump or two in thier time. Looking forward to orc hunting as well as the big soiree coming up. It should be an instant classic.
