Do you think one long day of travel in a wagon to reach Celondim from Michel Delving was correct? I had Dazzlebelle ride it on horseback in the game and Celondim didn't seem that far away. At least game wise. Of course, the game is probably designed so that it won't take forever to get around especially since beginning characters are on foot (unless they pre-purchased Riders of Rohan and have horses from the package. Maybe they should have arrived later in the evening? Or stayed the night in Duillond?

This is just my opinion. I see this story as fan-fiction of the game LOTRO, which is an interpretation of the books. I am enjoying it as such. In my minds eye, I visualize the settings, characters and even the plot through the lens of the game. As a fan of sci-fi/fantasy, I regularly and willingly 'suspend my disbelief'*. But,I think if you mix what is different in LOTR from LOTRO, it will cause confusion, for me at least, and jar me out of the experience. Fan *http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suspension_of_disbelief

Well, yes, this is based on the game, since there were no minstrels, lore-masters, rune-keepers, etc. in the Books . . . and I don't have to agonize over everything as Tolkien did figuring in moon cycles and mileage based on walking or riding, etc.

Thank You, Stormy! Sigh, I always "looked forward" to the start of school, new pencils, crayolas, Big Chief Tablets, and a sack lunch...

I always liked the lunch boxes with my favorite characters on them . . . Snoopy & Woodstock, Casper the Friendly Ghost, etc. (I wasn't so much into super heroes). And finding out who your teacher is and which friends are in your class.
Dazzle aught to be pretty excited about her Minstrel 101 class. This is going to be interesting.

You know, Andy, there's nothing stopping you from buying a new box of crayons, a pad of paper, or even a superhero lunchbox. But, I dare you to fit into a kindergarten desk/chair!
I was glad to see a new installment of Dazzlebelle this morning! Love it!

Yep RL interfered a bit with my creative juices. I missed writing. Hopefully, I will be better at keeping the story going.

Sigh… Went online, they do have the original Big Chief Tablets! They are about 5 bucks now, think we paid 25 cents in the 50s. Will get one for nostalgic-flavour. Today's crayolas are all weird, too plasticky, and the day-glo colours are shocking to my tradition bound mind… Where are "burnt umber," "raw sienna," and "aquamarine"? I'll look for a "traditional" set. Yeah, Fan, I won't get into those tiny desks anymore. I liked the ones with the big lift tops, and an ink well in the corner.
Stormy, RL does get in the way! LOL, do what you can, and when you can! Thanks!
We had Cowboy lunch pails, Roy Rogers for me, sister got Dale Evans. Lots of Space Rocket themes too, with the vacuum flask made up like a missile.
