Very rare! I liked the commentary of the artist on his thoughts on each of his paintings. That is a nice touch. Go Éowyn--two pictures of her and the Witchking.

I like December. it is Eärendil, the Mariner, and Elwing sailing in their ship, Vingilor, with the Silmaril from Beren and Lúthien.

I forgot to look at the February Calendar but for March it is the 2011 Beyond Bree 30th Anniversary Calendar and features Gandalf and Radagast. I can't say that I've seen many people capture Radagast with their art, so I enjoyed seeing him, especially with his being cast in the new Hobbit Movie.

Nice calendar, Parm! Wow! You have 50 calendars up already! I can't believe you have been putting them up for a little over 2 years already! I have enjoyed looking at all of them, too.
Looking at this calendar and seeing the pictures of the Dwarves, I wonder how knarly PJ and his makeup group will make the actors playing the Dwarves in the Hobbit movie. John Ryes/Gimli was pretty knarly in the LOTR movies, but some of the Dwarves in the Hobbit are younger so it make me wonder.

Hello Stormrider -
Thanks for looking in. I love Colin's pen and ink works (and have all of his calendars from the first in 1999 through 2011.) He's a dear friend (even if we've never met as we are literally at opposite ends of the Earth.)
I'll go and see The Hobbit when it comes out. But I was disappointed with the LotR movies. They weren't completely faithful to books, and PJ's treatment of many of the characters was poor (as their true nobility was not portrayed. Perhaps as The Hobbit is a shorter story, PJ can't mess it up too badly. But someone told me that he's figured out how to get Aragorn into the script.
Is it just you and me left here? As long as you enjoy them and post, I'll keep informing you of the CotM each month.
Away from The Green Hill Country,
Parm

No, no, there are still a few of us left that keep popping in and posting occassionally.
I hope once The Hobbit Movie gets going and there is more news/information about it, more of us will start talking about it here. I am sure once it comes out in the theater, we will be critiquing it!

Ah, now this is a colourful calendar! I like it! February, May and December are my favorites, I like the long perspectives -- the more stylized rendition of July, Lonely Mountain with Tolkienesque trees is also a gem! The entire calendar is a choice piece of artwork, Jef Murray, a name to keep track of. Will visit his site! Thanks so much, Parmastahir, this one is a real winner for me! userwww.service.emory.edu/~jmurra2/jefmurraystudios/

Very vibrant colors. Wonderful. What medium does Jef Murray use? It sort of looks like watercolor or pastels.
I liked March--Hobbit by a stream, April--such bright oranges, August--Laketown, October--is just a lovely picture of Gandalf in the Shire, November--more reds and oranges!, and December--Legolas and the sea.
