I just finished reading Aldarion and Erendis: The Mariner's Wife. This tale also tells of their daughter Ancalime who is the first ruling Queen of Numenor. Very interesting story, but such hateful people. I also read the Line of Elros which briefly describes the Kings of Numenor. I do not think I would want to be from the line of Elros. This line of Kings has much hate and anger. Was anyone else amazed at all the anger these people had?

Their anger led to their desire for eternal life rather than just a long human life. They were not satisfied that they would some day die.
This craving for an eternal life led to the fall of Numénor when they believed Sauron would help them toward that goal. I don't know if you have gotten that far or not so I won't say too much more about that.
You will also find out that the Numénoreans who did survive the fall and reached Middle-earth were the first Dúnedain Rangers and they were still faithful and not hateful about their fate. Aragorn comes from that line.
