MSN replied to my help email....the unfortunate thing is their resolution to the problem can't be done.
Thank you for writing to MSN Groups Technical Support. My name is Guildem and I understand that there is a member in your Group that is unable to access your Group's chat room because his nickname is not allowed in it.
I apologize for the inconvenience and for the delay in responding to you.
The reason why your member's nickname is not allowed in your Group's chat room is because it contains unsupported characters like spaces ( ). If your member changes his nickname to one that is just alphanumeric, and has no spaces, you should be allowed access to your Group's chat room.
You are valuable at MSN and we look forward to providing you with consistent and effective service. If you have other inquiries, please do not hesitate to write back.
Thank you for using MSN Groups. Sincerely, Guildem MSN Groups Technical Support

Thanks for all the effort you've done, Desi. Technically, the name change could be done. But for some reason MSN always find a way for glitches, especially when I'm working on it lol. A few days ago I could finally change my nickname in my public profile to AndrogaErindalant - I did that by deleting the whole profile and creating a new one. But surprise suprise, even while I could change the nickname in the public profile, the nickname on TR didn't change at all, while it normally should have - according to the mail you got, and according to MSN's own help site. Well, the only thing this episode has done, is refreshing my distaste for MSN, after I could forget those trauma's nearly two years ago.
