I think that somone had approached us by joining the forum to post some pictures of a Hobbit Home that they were building and also asking for donations. I don't appreciate the plug for donations just because it is hobbit-like--it is still the person's own home--no one donated to me for my home. I am not sure if this is the same family or not. But it really is a cool idea, especially since it is built to be more environmentally conscience.
We know some people in a town north or us who have a home in a hillside, too. It is not as hobbitishly built as this one, but it is more environmentally built.

Just because you have a great idea for a home does not qualify you as a charity case. Now, if the offer was that all those donating would be part owners... then that might be another story.
