DATELINE: September 5, 2004 What To Do With Your Do-Do In New Zealand [/u] I heard on the radio a funny story about the parks in New Zealand. I can not find the story on the internet so I will just tell you what I recall. In the New Zealand parks where people can take the trails and go hiking there are no toilets, not even out houses so the common thing for people to do is go off the trail a little and do there business and then cover it with dirt. Since the LOTR movies tourism in New Zealand has been spreading and so is the waste in the parks. To reduce the amount of human do-do in the parks a plan has been made and is being tested out. When you enter the park each person is given a corn starch bag, so that when you leave the trail to do your business you go in the bag, tie it off and carry it the rest of your way. When you leave the park you turn your bag in and then your business is disposed of properly.
