Good Saturday Everyone!
just a bit of explanation or a head's up as it were.
our good friend Andorinha has been diligently moving the TR poetry board over here to our active forum...which has been a LOT of work!
i have been trying to follow along and add any graphics i had made back into the messages...which involves either a link to a photo in Photobucket or a link to the new Multiply albums (which now house our TR-MSN archives) For the Photobucket pictures, you may need to key in the password of the TRFans albums which is JRRTrules1. For Multiply, you may have to join? (i do not know if you can view the photos otherwise?) it is a pretty easy matter to join and then you will have all access to the message threads as well as the photos.
the poet and artist sig i have linked to above are in my name only right now. i do still have the set-ups to make more if anyone feels a need. just let me know if you do.
also, when you open the album, they are stretched out of shape but if you click on the indivdual sig, it will display it as the actual size.
thank you again Andorinha for all the work you have taken on! yours, M

Hi, Majah,
It's actually fun to go back through all the old posts, I'm keeping a list of those where I think I NEED/ MUST add something more someday... The poetry posts were especially fun!

i know Andorinha, i am having a good time reading through all the poetry contests as well as the role plays you brought over. #1 i am constantly impressed with the wealth of knowledge and information that our Friends have...AND with how talented and clever they/we are... #2 i am now constantly in a mood of sadness , i guess you call it nostalgia? if TR cannot be the active place it once was, then it will live on in the words, pictures and deeds of our past... is that what one calls an epic? Andorinha:
Thank you so much for transferring the poetry contests over. I was reading the one on plants and was wondering why I hadn't done one.
I want to go visit all those threads again and enjoy our poetry and our art. As Majah said, we were talented and clever and I am sure we still are! I may go back and try that plant poetry challenge even though it is over with. I like some of the topics Soleil suggested.

Majah, yeah, sob, nostalgia... Who knows, some of the old activity may bubble-up anew as the next raft of movies comes on line, but I fear the grand olde dayes, like the Elder Years, are but memories... We had a bit of a renaissance last year, so it really takes only three or four returned exiles to get the sap flowing again.
Stormrider, hmmm, for some reason that particular poetry thread also caught my imagination. LOL, wanna add a couple new poems there some time, suitably marked-off from the original offerings, makes the line come "alive" again? Maybe an offering from Sam extolling the virtues of his Gaffer's Grand Potatoes? "Rare Good Ballast!"

I was thinking that this idea suggested by Soleil would be fun to work with:It could even be rather funny despite the serious nature of what Sam was overhearing!
Sigh! I never did get that Rohirric Winter poem done...it was just too challenging for me this year...but I do have a whole 12 months (well 10 months now) to work on it for next Christmas.
