Our Sam’s Club is an hour away. So, when we go every 3-4 months, I load up on paper products.
A year ago or so, my brother saw the amount of TP I had in-stock, and laughed at me. He called the other day after “Corona“ shopping and said there was no TP anywhere.
“So, gonna laugh at me anymore?”

LOL -- funny meme! I figure "stockpiling" is OK -- if you leave the goodies in the store, it encourages them to up the prices. Whenever they have a sale on non-perishables, like TP, we buy bunches and bunches...

Local grocery store was out of TP, except for one tableful, with a special clerk-guard rationing three six packs per customer... We civically got our allotted 3 x 6, but did not tell them we had about 10 x 6 packs at home already. Gosh, am I a hoarder!?

We bought a 12-pack today. There were only 12- 24- 48- packs in the store and not my brand. But I grabbed something since we were getting low at home. Shelves were pretty empty but still enough for shoppers.

The store was doing a whole reset of ALL its aisles for food, dairy, the liquor dept is huge now, paper products, cleaning, etc. I suspect the rest of it will be reset in the weeks ahead, too.

With the NBA cancelling/suspending their season and the Blackhawks still playing but not allowing audiences, the Houston Rodeo cancelling, and McCormick Place in Chicago cancelling its events, we are waiting to hear about the Midwest Horse Fair where my two daughter's equestrian drill team is to perform on April 17, 18, and 19. It is one of the largest horse events in the nation with hundreds of exhibits, vendors, and food vendors in Madison, WI. It was the reason I made the large board for picture taking for their stall exhibit. The horse fair committee is in contact with all the health and welfare organizations before they make any cancellations. But I can see how this would be a huge venue to spread Covid-19. It is something I was going to stay away from anyway since the outbreak. But the horse fair committee says they are concerned about the welfare of the animals and all people in the event in anyway or coming to watch and enjoy the events.

It is a shame, but, lots of events should be cancelled. Hopefully by this time next year there will be a vaccine and you can use it then.
There is speculation over the Olympics, also.

Desi's exchange student from Spain says people are being ordered to stay in their houses. Her mom has a friend in Italy who took a walk outside and the police told her to get back inside and if she was seen outside again, she would be arrested. I've seen videos of Italy's streets and they are deserted.

And that basketball player who has it acted as if it was a joke, wiping his hands all over the table and speakers.
