Hey, folks! I'm going to be in a virtual performance of The Princess Bride (in a lead role!). This group performs movie scripts over Zoom and does its best to recreate them with zero budget from home. It's super fun. If you're curious about my other life in community theater and what I'm up to when I take long breaks from LOTRO, this would give you a chance to see me perform. You can watch live on their Facebook page or check out the recording on their YouTube channel later. www.facebook.com/groups/262573594864309

I'm signed in on "Zooming the Movies" but good to know there will be a YouTube, too! This is so cool for you! I am so happy you got THE LEAD MALE ROLE! Are you going to wear a costume? I know I saw a past Zooming the Movies and some of them had costumes and backdrops. I plan to be there on Saturday, February 13th, at 7:00pm Central! So exited for you!
Twizzle is doing multi-flips in a row and toasting you and herald horning you! And she is wearing her "Princess" gown!

I checked with the group leader and he hasn't updated their YouTube in a while. It takes a long time to edit the videos. So Princess Bride might not be on YouTube right away. The video should be available on their Facebook page after the live stream ends though if people miss the performance.
And yes, I will have a costume.

The last Zoom movie was when they lit the Beacons of Gondor. They did that really well.

Oh no! Desi reminded me we have a birthday party starting at 4:00pm that day. It is at a relative's house about an hour away. My husband may not want to go that late, so we will see whether I'll make it or not. And darn if I'm not so eager to watch it live.

Freddie: How long will your movie zoom last? I will be going to the multi-family birthday party tonight. Maybe I can catch some of the ending.

I didn't get a chance to post on here earlier but the video is available to watch on Facebook: www.facebook.com/600263422/videos/10158340447048423/We had some tech problems early on unfortunately. But once we found our groove, this performance was a lot of fun!

I'm sorry that I didn't watch it live. I forgot....
That was great, Freddie. It was fun to watch. It looked like a lot of fun to do, too.
I loved the spatula handle sword of the prince's. LOL

I watched your zoom movie last night. It did get off a little choppy and glad that everything turned out well after a bit. Everyone did a very nice job and put feeling into their roles. The costumes added a nice touch. This was your first reading role in the zoomies! Great job! I loved your black mask with your glasses poking out the sides--cracked me up. Did your arms get tired climbing and swinging the sword? I had forgotten most of the story since I hadn't see Princess Bride in a long time so this was a nice memory jogger. So glad you gave us the link so we could watch.

Was not sure what "Zooming" was, but had fun watching the presentation, Epic Staging! Thanks Freddie, and the entire cast and crew.

Thanks, everybody! Glad you enjoyed it. Haha, yes, the glasses poking through the mask were silly but I unfortunately don't have contacts. Tried them once and my eyes didn't react well. Leaving the glasses on so I could read the script felt very much in the do-it-yourself low budget spirit of this group.

Well, I certainly hope you will appear in other Zoom Movie adaptations in the future. Let us know when!

I'm going to be in another Zooming the Movies reading tonight at 7:00 pm Central. I have a couple of small parts in Love Actually as Tony and Karl.
Sorry for the late notice but I was a last minute addition since someone had to drop out. The video will be available on their Facebook page if you are interested.
