WELCOME to the Tolkiens Ring Calaquendi Art (TRCA) Our mission
· to promote and develop the artistic and graphic skills of our members
· to provide support in a workshop type environment for art projects relating to the world of J.R.R. Tolkien
· to provide the Tolkien's Ring site with original visual aids This group was implemented in December 2002 as a place for our more art oriented TR members to share information about creating logos, banner, signature and other artwork either with real time techniques or computer graphic programs. It was also a place to post new work and get feedback from the other members. It was an invitation only group originally for those who were interested in Art to keep the main TR site more literary oriented. The management of TR has been integrating the art aspect of Tolkien into the literary aspect this past year by appointing Art managers and implementing the Art contests. We now feel it is time to provide a portal to TRCA for ALL our members to come see what we have begun. It is difficult to maintain too many seperate sites so eventually all the information on TRCA will be transferred to the main TR site on this Art Board but in the meantime...come visit and share!

Here are some changes i have made at TRCA... after a lot of musing, i decided to omit the TRCA member restrictions to allow visitors to check in at any time without having to join TRCA. this is effort to make it easier for TR members to work back and forth between the two sites without a lot of extra hassle. we want to fuse our different factions back together into a more cohesive and productive unit. unfortunately TRCA was the site that suffered so of course i now wish for it to be the viable artist retreat it was meant to be. but with enough visitors to appreciate the work done by the artists contributing here. HOWEVER...part of why i thought so long and hard was that it also opens this site up to spammers and sickos who love to mess with these MSN sites....sooooooo i have a few changes i want to bring up! 1 If you do not wish to have your email address available to spammers, you must change your settings to hide it. (unfortunately you will receive spam in your email no matter where you are on the WWW but this may aleviate a small portion of it?) 2 And i have set the messages to be moderated before they are posted. that way i have to approve them before they go onto the message boards. (this will mean a slight delay in posting but i promise to look more often so as to not keep you stranded!!!) so let's go out there and DO ART! Majah

Attention Everyone!
Unfortunately, TRCA was deleted for inactivity and I did not find out in time to save it. I do have all the art saved on my pc so I do not feel TOO bad? M
