Hi everyone!
I added a poem in Iambic Pentameter to the August contest, called "Beorn's Home". I made it rather fast, so it is not a very good poem, and you also do not have to feel like you need to adhere to that form. I just wanted to give an example, and challenge you all to repost it here with the meter bolded or capped, to show if I succeeded in capturing the right meter.
So get those fingers tapping, and see what you can come up with!
PS..... I just checked Desi's and her's is perfectly metered in Iambic! WTG Desi!!!!

My dear friend Majah Got to be honest and not Lie Ta Ya But if you groan and you grouse about not having a house
full of talent and words, I can't help ya
Your talent is known your art much reknown so not all eyes will weep
But if you just try And stand by this guy You'll soon have something to keep
And in ending this verse and not being terse I try most to be where I stand
And if you could be there at the top of the BIG stair We're together, but it could have been worse
