Had another dwarf been on watch do you think Bilbo could have tricked him into swapping the duty?

That's a good question! I think that all the dwarves were just as tired and uncomfortable as Bombur was during their shift on watch duty. Bombur might have been more likely to trade off duty because he was always ready to catch up on his sleep and dream about the feast he had under the sleeping spell in the forest. Bombur just seems like he was the most likely to be susceptible to getting an extra cut of comfort if it was offered! I think that ALL of the dwarves had a high regard for Bilbo and respected him after all the times he had come to their rescue. I don't think that any of them would have questioned Bilbo's motives for trading watch shifts because of that. I also think that the other dwarves would not have switched with Bilbo because they would not take advantage of Bilbo's "good intentions" or so they would think. Bilbo had saved them, and solved the map riddle, found out Smaug's weak spot, and helped them out so much already that I don't think they would have wanted to take advantage of Bilbo. I think Bilbo purposely chose Bombur because of these reasons. Bilbo was really getting to know the dwarves well and gauge how they would react!
