Aeleorn, ranger woman, sits comfortably on a bench in the Prancing Pony with a pint of ale in one hand and a book in the other. Suddenly she looks up when the door of the inn opens with a swoosh, and in comes a cloaked figure.
"Hey Majah!", she shouts: "I'm so glad you're here! At least now I know that someone very gifted is working on the 'artier' side of TR. "
In the far corner Butterbur looks up and nods in agreement.

What a lovely sentiment my sweet:
And please do not forget what an accomplished poet you have become! I am both impressed and very anxious to read more.
Alas! Poor Majah! I knew her Horatio! [Go not to the Elves for advise, for they say both no and yes]

"A fresh ale for my friend Aeleorn..." Majah sings out, "AND a Large Pepsi for me...we have much to talk over this night!"
And thank you Fang...high praise indeed coming from you my friend. (You have seen my Horatio? yikes, i better wear more clothes in public it seems?")

~~~ Greetings, Majah! ~~~
I feel there were some times in my own life where I had lost the way to Middle-earth...
At first, I think I was even doing the "right thing" ( in a way ), as I had already read "The Hobbit" and "The Lord Of The Rings" so many times, I practically knew them by heart, and I felt it was time to "move onto other things" - to open up new vistas, or, at least, to look at he world from different angles ---
Also, in the beginning, I felt it was time to "grow up", to tackle more "serious" subjects, to grow in wisdom and think deep thoughts - & also, gradually, I became drawn to the "Wild Side", although, at first, I only experienced this "Wild Side" vicariously, by reading books... ( even during this period, I still cherished my memories of Middle-earth in a space in my heart, although as time went by, it all began to seem more like it belonged as part of childhood, instead of having a place in my adulthood ) ---
I think when walking along the edge of the "Wild Side", it becomes quite easy to slip, and fall down the slippery slope - down, down - to the "Dark Side" { "Good-bye! Be good, take care of yourselves --- and DON'T LEAVE THE PATH!" -- Well, sometimes, when you are already wandering around in a forest, lost in the dark, it becomes all too easy to stray even farther away from that path......} ( I speak for myself, in this ) I've seen some dark, dark days in my life - mostly my own fault, I suppose... so dismally dark I won't speak of them here....
I'd say once the worst of the dark days had passed, and I was starting to go "on the mend" again, my thoughts did sometimes drift back to more innocent times, ( when there was more clear day-light in my life, and less subterranean darkness ) and to my old friends: Tolkien's Books... It once again became one of my favorite pastimes to spend time day-dreaming: just how the stories would appear in movie-form... In fact, it was my secret fantasy to somehow, someday, become the Director/Producer of these LOTR movies I would imagine in my mind's eye... Unfortunately, Peter Jackson beat me to it... Ah well, I can still always run my versions through my head, sometimes, instead of PJ's... ( although now that the PJ movies are "out there", that doesn't work quite the same as it used to ) ~~~
Hello All! I have been meaning to jump in from time to time and of course now that the Hobbit movie is upon us...I have come home! In a few hours, I will be finally seeing the movie. I want to revisit our Hobbit study and hope to visit with a few of you. I apologize for being so invisable...I will try to shed my cloak more... (In explanation for my absence...I went back to college a few years back and got a degree in Information Technology. Last year I began working at one of our local TV stations so a lot of my extra curricular activities have gone by the wayside ...sigh...I hate it when real life takes over...)
I have been going through a lot of my Tolkien art, poems, etc. to get hyped up and made myself kinda sad and wistful...we sure had a great group here!
By the way Stormie...I couldn't remember my password at first so I registered again as Majaheart. While waiting to be approved, I decided to try and sign on as Majah TR and I remembered the postword off the top of my head! So you can tell that other Majaheart to hit the highway...
