Please join me in congratulating this month's winners:
First place: Olórië
Second place: Endirion
Third place: Sting
Thanks to everyone who participated -- and special thanks to our poets for sharing their talents. It takes a bit of courage to share your creative work, even with a group of friends, so I hope each of you knows how much you're appreciated. Well done!
Winners, your prize ribbon files are attached to this message -- please download your prize and display it proudly in each of your posts this month. (Last month's winners were a little shy, apparently. Let's see more of those ribbons this month -- show 'em off, you've earned it!) Please let me know if you have any technical problems with these files; I've changed them slightly and am posting jpegs rather than gifs.
Again, congratulations to all!

Congratulations to all three of you. Your poems were all very well written and told such sad tales of Gollum/Smégol and his relationship with his precious.
Everyone who did not finish in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd, your poems were very good, too. It was a very tough decision to select the top three this month....It could have been any one of the poets!
Again...Congratulations to all! I hope to see this many entries every month!

Alaere joins Glorfindel and Majah in applauding, whistling upon her fingers. It has been the toughest decision to choose only three poems to vote for, but congratulations to the winners, and to the others....

I am very honored -- and mightily embarrassed -- by this turn of events. Thank you all for your kindness! Iarwain said it best: it's a delight to write a poem, but even better to have others delight in it.
And I'm especially pleased that our other winners this month are some of our new poets. Congratulations, Endirion and Sting! Don't forget to display your prize ribbons with pride in your posts through the end of this month.
Thanks to each of our entrants for sharing their vision: tale-tellers, word-painters, verse-singers all. You're the best.
Olórië

Well...got the ribbon downloaded...how I paste it to a message is beyond me, though. Someday I shall have to learn how to use this magic box thing.

Congratulations, Olórië , Endirion , and Sting !
You are certainly worthy of these honors. It is a nice problem to have, that being, too many good poems to choose from!
