Has anybody read Sigurd & Gudrun? I got it the other day on sale for less than five dollars. Long verse is not my favorite form of literature, but, I'm gonna give it a go. I once watched the entire Ring cycle on TV, 17 hours of opera over 5 nights, Wagner's Opus! Sigurd & Gudrun is essentially the same story, with a few alterations so I'll give it the ol' college try anyway!
Has anyone else seen The Girl w/The Dragon Tattoo? For those of you who have not it is in Swedish w/English subtitles . I really liked it tho I was not so sure before when a friend asked me to see it w/her. They are going to make a Hollywood version of it but I don't believe they can improve on the original! It is very good! Now I have to read all of the books in the series.

No, I haven't read Sigurd & Gudrun because it is difficult for me to read verse. I have to applaud you for giving it a try though.
I've seen the book about the Girl with the Dragon tattoo in my B&N and Borders emails and was wondering what it was about.

I have not read Tolkien's Sigurd and Gudrun either, but I've read the Norse and German versions of the tale. Might be instructive to compare-contrast them with JRRT's work.
If you have the time and desire, Vanye, as you read Tolkien's version, you might do a sort of synopsis for us?
Thanks!
