I did find a model for my next valar, but I have not even started working with it yet. Is anyone besides me and Stormrider making a valar?

I'm really not interested in doing people, so I'm a pass. But it's always iffy with me on whether school lets me do outside projects or not, so don't make your decision on my account. If you want to see what school 'lets' me do ... go here: www.geocities.com/magpie930/school/work.htmMy work for last quarter is up now.

I don't do people that great....That is why the valar I did is in tree form. So if you do get a chance to do a valar it does not have to be the actual valar it can be what they represent. For example to represent Varda you could do a drawing of stars or gardens to represent Irmo ect. We like creativity! Magpie, Your magpie bird picture could be used to represent Manwë who loved all birds or Vána because birds sing whenever she passes! Here is the link for Magpie's magpie! www.geocities.com/magpie930/school/magpie.htm

Well now, who's got the lack of imagination? (hand raised shyly)... okay, I could do something that represented a valar.... so, if you want to postpone the contest, I'll work something up by end of next week. But if you want to move, I'm fine with that as well. ah... the relaxation of spring break.

Well, I have some other ideas and I have really gotten into this theme so I would be willing to post a few more Valar or Maiar as I get the chance.

I'm working on some photoshop techniques trying to render an idea I have for Ulmo... I don't know if I'll finish it.
I've been thinking about creating bookmarks for the Valar...

I've been very tempted to try and draw a cartoony-looking Vala just for the fun of it but I haven't had much time to work on one. I do have an idea and may get around to it eventually. Are we continuing this theme?

I would love to see your work, too, Fredegar! Please work on something!
I also have some ideas for Ossë vassal of Ulmo and his wife, Uinen, The Lady of the Seas and Tilion who steered the island of the Moon and Arien who guided the vessel of the Sun.
So I had better get busy!

HI guys; i haven't officially posted anything yet but i thank you for your input on this subject. Storm and i decided it would be excellant to keep this contest open for a longer period of time and make this be the subject of our TR calendar for 2006! so now you all have more time...and Fredegar...it would be most excellant to have you join in! thanks again, Majah the book marks are a cool idea too Magpie!!! or gosh how about this...have them be like trading cards with the 'statistics' about each character on the back? (works with baseball cards!!!)

or gosh how about this...have them be like trading cards with the 'statistics' about each character on the back? (works with baseball cards!!!) I actually considered doing this when I participated in Dale Ann's Sil study. I was having such a hard time keeping them all straight at first. I think there's something to be gained from sticking with a subject for awhile. It gives you the chance to develop ideas over time. For me, I think I might continue to tweak my photoshop projects. (It's amazing how much I forgot in the three months since I took the class!)
