Great job, Stormy! I think giving us the history of the place, was a good choice! I especially like the "podium" bit. It sure would have to be a short one! Fan

That's right! Dwyrmur is a real resident of ME! I was trying to give all of you who are really good researchers here at TR the knowledgeable spiels. Surely as a "real" resident of ME, Dwyrmur might know some of the hobbit migration information. I can switch your lines about Sméagol and Gollum to DaleAnn. That way, it won't mess with our characters. I didn't give her nearly enough speaking role this time and she is very knowledgeable and good at digging up the facts!

And I purposely made Andy speak in a more groomed voice for his podium information instead of his tuff-guy voice. None of that youse wimmin, dis & dat, etc.

Who is up next? If someone has writer's block -- been there -- so long as we are settled at Gladden for a while, maybe others could write "out of turn" a bit?

Desi is up next and working hers. I will ask her if she is stuck. She was thinking about her mathom.

Desi is debating on her mathom so she says anyone who is ready can go ahead and she will post when she is ready in between anyone else.

I'd be next after Desi. And I know exactly what my mathom will be. So, sometime today, after I've had 2-3 cups of coffee, I'll get on it. I won't be advancing the storyline at all, so if someone has one ready, go for it.

First Stormy, now Fan...
Wow great additions, both of youse! From these two entries I get a lyrical sort of feeling, mystical, dreamy -- keep hearing a low, slow flute in the background; faint, soft but insistent...
The Romance of Archaeology meets Middle-earth!
Thanks to both of you!

Egggggsssesss! Are they emptied of the yoke and white as if the innerds were sucked out? Good thing for tupperware! It is a wonder the eggs were intact at all !Sounds like the paintings on those eggs may depict the riddles that Bilbo and Gollum riddled each other with.

A mithril flute -- cool idea! I wish my real life flute were made of mithril but it is a real cheapy given to me by a friend who had no use for it since he liked his sax more.
I wonder what Dwyrmur will find!
So far we have an ancient sword, ancient Stoor boots, painted eggs, and a mithril flute.

The order kind of got thrown off but is it my turn to find a mathom? I'm still dealing with the recent loss of my father and the funeral/memorial/family stuff.
Might be able to do a short post one of these nights. If you guys want to advance the story without me, that is fine too. Dwyrmur wouldn't be that interested in mathoms but he would take a keen interest in that mithril flute Andorinha found. Would probably be astonished to see it there and shaking his head at those foolish Stoor hobbits who didn't know the worth of what they found.
On that note, where did the flute come from? Mithril ore in the Gladden Fields? Or did they trade for it with passing travelers? Said travelers would have been as clueless as the Stoors since there's no way a dwarf would part with mithril for anything a hobbit could offer him.
