Item from a NJ newspaper, the Hunterdon Democrat:
NEWARK--The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra will perform "The Lord of the Rings Symphony" in December, instead of "The Nutcracker." The multi-media concerts will feature music and storyboard stills from the popular film trilogy projected above the orchestra. Performances will be presented Dec. 3-4 at the NJ Performing Arts Center, at 8pm. They incorporate two choirs that must learn languages invented by JRR Tolkien, as well as a symphony orchestra and various soloists. For ticket information, call (800) 255-3476 Monday through Saturday, 11 am to 5 pm.
