I was back in the administration area because of the spelling of one of our rankings and discovered that Proboards has allowed us more levels! This is what we have now: # of Posts | Rank Name | 300 | Elf | 200 | Dúnadan | 100 | Dwarf | 25 | Hobbit | 0 | Orc |
We have 5 more possibilities. We can add more options such as Troll, Warg, Eagle, Istari, Maiar, Valar, Ilúvatar, or anything else! What Races from ME would you like to have added for your Rank Levels? We don't have to stick with my suggestions. I would like to hear from as many of you as possible. Please list the 10 Races in the order you would like to achieve your posting rank level. Do you think 100 posts between each level is good? I see we only had 25 posts before a new member got out of Orc status and into Hobbit status, and then another 50 before getting out of Hobbit to reach Dwarf. I really hope some of you have some ideas and opinions on this. It is lonely at the top (admin) having to make all these important decisions myself and I thought this would be something fun for you to have a say in.

Heh. The spelling change was my doing. My background is in writing/editing so I tend to notice and be bothered by such things. Hope I didn't sound nitpicky. I like the ascending Middle-earth hierarchy in the current system. So what about this? Orc, Hobbit, Dwarf, Rohir, Dúnadan, Númenórean, Elf, Istar, Maia, Vala (I'm guessing on the singular for Rohirrim. I'm not sure if Tolkien ever used that. This article mentions it in a footnote: www.glyphweb.com/arda/r/rohirrim.html)I assume your rank is Ilúvatar because you are the Admin. Since Ilúvatar is "the One" in Tolkien's cosmology, maybe there should only be one person with that rank.
