Yes, we are all okay. The path traveled near us and we were watching the local weather channel on TV and watching out the window. We had gone out to Woodstock for dinner where our youngest daughter and new granddaughter live. Desi and the youngest grandson also met us since she had to take her foreign exchange student to the doctor out there. Our nephew was driving through on his way back home from the east coast and Canada and that was why we were out and about last night.
The skies where really cloudy, with big puffy white clouds and dark hazy masses that touched to the ground. One mass of tornado passed near Desi's home (Rockford/Belvidere) she lives north of Belvidere and passed north of my town Marengo (we are further south of town) and went past Woodstock (youngest daughter) were we had dinner. But we were all ready to go downstairs if we had to but it didn't come to that. Surprisingly, the TV and internet did not go down! However I was not playing LOTRO last night!
But the badly hit areas were in Fairdale which is west of Genoa where I work and further southwest in Rochelle. Buildings where destroyed. Some damage out in Rockford, too The pictures of footage of the tornado and damage is awful. Thank you for worrying about us, we are all ok.

Wow! Saw the TV reports, so very glad, Stormy, that you and your extended families were out of the direct line of destruction.

I see our new Governor Rauner (I think that is how it is spelled) was up in the area, too. The church I work at is taking up a collection to help toward tornado relief and so is the Rockford Diocese since the areas are in the Diocese.
Today, I have a craft show in Kirkland which is the next town east of Fairdale. We were wondering if it would still be going on. But the ladies I work with who are with the Kirkland Historical Society said it was still on at the school.
