I've been so busy lately I forgot to post about this. My friend Maui and I both had birthdays this month and decided to host our own reading of Fellowship of the Ring. It's independent of the Zooming the Movies group but many of the same actors are in it because they love doing these. I'm playing Aragorn this time and Maui is Gandalf (we figured we might as well give ourselves good parts).
It starts at 2:00 pm CST today. Sorry this is so last minute. I'll post the link so you can watch later if you want.

Great job on the first half! You have a nice singing voice, Freddie. Gandalf needs a shave, he looks like Santa!

Great job on the first half! You have a nice singing voice, Freddie. Gandalf needs a shave, he looks like Santa! Thanks! It was a lot of fun. I practiced my Elvish for the singing part. That was indeed a Santa beard. Maui has played Santa in local Christmas events out here in the Oak Park/Forest Park area. Part 2 will be Tuesday night at 7:00 pm CST.

I like the Strider Pipe, and the "rascally air" of Aragorn as he watches the silly hobbits...

I liked the blue hooded cape and the pipe puffing! And your look when Arwen snuck up on you!
Where does the Zooming group get all their scripts and backgrounds for all their movies?

Where does the Zooming group get all their scripts and backgrounds for all their movies? Some of the scripts they find online and others are transcribed by members of the group while watching the movie. The backgrounds people find via Google search.

That could be some work and planning not to mention time involved to watch a movie and transcribe it. I took shorthand in High School and used it as a secretary, but I don't think the younger generation uses it now. Yeah, I'm from "Old School"
I missed the second half because I've been watching all the Marvel superheros movies with Desi and family. Tonight was Spiderman Home Coming. After seeing some Avengers in the series, WandaVision makes more sense now!
I'll watch part 2 tomorrow.

Great job in part 2, Freddie. Did you say something to Maui about his Santa beard? He looked better with this wig and his own beard! Great job with your sword fighting. And you did a great job with the Elvish language. I would really botch that up! This was lots of fun to watch.
Do they put the script up in a zoom window for you all to read or do you have it printed out at your station. It looks more like you all read it from the screen.

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it! I didn't say anything to Maui about the beard. I think he just didn't like the way it looked. Do they put the script up in a zoom window for you all to read or do you have it printed out at your station. It looks more like you all read it from the screen. We have PDF or Word files of the script on one half of our screen and Zoom on the other half.

I'm in another performance this week - Shakespeare in Love. Wednesday 7pm CST. I'm playing various small parts including Ralph, a member of the acting troop of the Rose Theatre.

Wow! That is kool Freddy! It is great that you have an outlet like this "zoom," keep your thespian skills well-honed even in these days of Covid sequestration.

One of our actors dropped out due to a conflict so I'm now playing Phillip Henslowe, owner of the Rose Theatre. I'm super excited as this was my favorite character in the movie (the part was played by Geoffrey Rush).
