Sorry, but I was at a loss as to what I should name this thread. I mean it to be a serious thread where people that appreciate poetry can discuss issues of importance to them..
What I mean by that, I am not exactly sure. But isn't that the essence of verse and rhyme?The unknown...the mystery of the words?
Well...in any case to start off I came upon this line. I thought it fascinating and wondered what you would think. Here it is:
Your daughters disrupt the air as they pass by me in compliant rows....
Granted with all due respect to the author, this was taken out of context of the poem. But sometimes it fascinates me just to view the sentance...the thought...the rhyme...
Your thoughts?

When I read that line, I pictured Madeline from the storybooks about the little girl in Catholic School. I pictured all the girls lined up walking into church while the head nun thinks of the air being distrupted as they pass her. Good thing their rows are straight or I could see a knuckle wrapping!
