Now, how did I end up on that bank? Oh yes, I remember... Well, you'll find out soon enough, I guess.
Desi, thanks for re-posting this story.

Hello fellow Haysend authors:
I have just a few points to make:
Are we all at a stage where we can all start writing again and working out where the story goes from here?
we have three? main groups of chracters now, one going to the Glittering caves to tie up and re-unite Aeleorn into the main mass of the story, shortly, and Damrod, alaere etc... are now past the gap of Rohan?
On the other hand, we have a sub-plot involving the Ents, and these must all tie together at some stage, and of course, we have the story of the Hobbits, going back to when a naive but brave, plucky little character (I'll mention no names... lol) ran out to aquaint herself with three mysterious, travel-worn adventurers: an Elf, Gondorian and Half-elf who emerged from the eaves of the forest of Haysend one fine day...
Which brings me to our third thread.... the Hobbit captives out in the direction of Rhun....a good motivation for resolving the climactic scenes (to be written at some stage in the future) out in the "lair" of our nemesis: Thuringwethiel.
There is a fouth group of course, with Aeleorn and her scenes in Rohan, as she discovers her true powers etc.. which at the end of the day is crucial to the story and how it's to be resolved....I think we should get the group heading south to meet her to actually get to Helm's Deep fairly quickly...once we all start writing regularly again.
There has also been a preparatory and explanitory scene set in Minas Tirith with the Kind Elessar, which I think is important because we all plan to move together as a group to Gondor once the Fangorn and Rohan Sub-plots have been satisfactorily resolved?
It's important that the people not only carefully preserve internal consistancy within each plot-line, but that each plot-line then feeds and interacts with the others in a meaningful way! Its all about the bigger picture, and thsi still needs to be discussed with all the authors, probally all at the pont or something?
This "Entrelacement" porocess is one of the things Tolkien worried over when writing LoTR, and this is why he had to do soo many re-writes of chapters, and it's also a blessing...you actually read ahead very quickly in TTT, because you want to find out what happens in the other group...just like in our story, there is a tension crteated and the reader actually 2cares" about the characters, especially during the composition of "The Two Towers" when you want to find out what happends to Merry and Pipin, and you are feed by Tolkien bits of info as the gorups re-join.. This is an amusing conicidence, as his fellowship split up dtyring this time and caused him much headaches (as it did for Peter Jackson when trying to fit in a middle section to his film trilogy)...so basically, Rohan is a writers block graveyard of plots anyway...so no wonder we stalled in Haysend, on the banks of the river Isen at around this time in our our story!!
I'm sure we have all noted that our own story has similar journey developments to LoTR. I'm not unduly concerned about this, as all of us are deeply influenced by Tolkien's ideas anyway. I'm sure that none of us intended to mirror the Fellowship of LoTR, but subconsciously and unintentioanlly, we have followed similar plots and routes and timings in our story to Tolkien. Perhaps the way ME is laid out did sort of "funnel" us into certain unintentianal decisions about where are characters go, and of course the bad-guys in ME are normally to the East and South of the "Free peoples", but I still find the above an interesting observation?
What does everyone else think?
I also recall Desi comming up with a cool map of Helm's deep and some Fourth age new features to mention in writing. Perhaps that could be reposted here, together with your calander of each group's progression. Thanks once agin Desi for doing all ther hard work for us and making ouyr our writing an easier job thanks to those aids....I never thanked you at the time. I think we could all re-post our Biographies of our characters on this thread aswell for the benefit of the other authors....what do you all think??
Finally, perhaps we should arrange a time to meet up in the Pont to discuss these plans in more detail, so that everyone is logged on at the same time and we can discuss everything together. We could all re-read the posted material in the re-posted section aswell (Desi has added fantastic visual effects and integrated them into the relevent sections!)
If we leave a few days for that...then perhaps we could meet in the pony Inn at the Weekend, at a time that is O.K for North America and Europe? How about 1pm Eastern Seaboard time USA, on Saturday 3rd July, that is 7pm GMT (U.K- That is my time), and 8pm CET (Alaere, Orgulas, Pearl etc...)
P.S: Did you note in Palantir Post that Tolkien Northmoor Home in Oxford is up for sale?
I'm working on the National Trust to buy the house and re-create it as it would have been in the 1930's, with the Garage doen up as Tolkien's study. The National Trust, a huge U.K body/Charity is the U.K's biggest land owner, and normally they preserve castles and stately homes, but since they bought and recreated the homes of John Lennon and Paul McCartney, that you can visit with a resident guide and which have been huge torist magnets for Liverpool....then I'm sure ther is a case for Tolkien's Oxford residence? Shall we start an E-Petition or something. My parentsd are members of the National Trust, So I'll see about writing a letter to the boss or something.

Belfalas,
We will be meeting up in the pony when everyone is ready to pick up their pens again. I think Aeleorn mentioned to me that Pearlbloom's computer is not working and I am not sure how clear things are for Aleare. I know Orgulas is done with classes (at least for the summer). So we will have to wait a tiny bit for a pony meeting. Plus this weekend on Saturday I am going to the zoo, so I could not make that chat. If you have any questions on the story line or ideas email us about it until we can chat in the pony!

Oh yes, that incident.
Robedmerlin, I'll try not to forget my clothes when finally we meet some day... Oh, and I saw your pic on Entmoot. I love the beard!
Belf: We are all waiting impatiently to start writing again, but first I'm going to let Desi post the whole story here again. It's a great opportunity to read the entire story again, so we have it fresh in our minds. I agree that we have to organise a chat to get everyone started again on Haysend. Unfortunatly, we'll have to wait for everyone to tie up some other loose ends before we can get it going again.
Love, Aeleorn

Message for Aeleorn:
Thanks for the update on what everyone is doing as regards the Haysend Role-play.
I have chatted to Alaere on MSN messenger, and she also let me know that it is too soon to look to future instalments, and you are also right in that it's been such a long time since I was writing for it, that I have forgotten many things! Theref0ore, it's obviously too early to have a meeting of the authors in the Prancing Pony. I just wanted to let everyone know that I was keen the to start writing again.
Kind regards,
Belf..

I'm a newbie to TR who got acquainted with Aelorn when the TR forums were on MSN. She told me about Haysend, but I never got a chance to ask for an invite or read up and get into the plot of it. I've been following the re-posts and I hope I can join you when it re-opens for new contributors. I have a good idea of the character I want to play, but I know I'll have to wait a very long time. You can add me to MSN Messenger if you'd like to talk further about it with me.

Suilad!
Just dropping a line to let you know that I am also eager to carry on with the story. As (some of) my co-authors may know, I have prepared parts for future instalments... Recently, I have been working on yet another one, delving a bit deeper into Roderick's character (in relation to ours). I'm not sure how much I can say - spoilers! - so if you're not sure what bits I'm talking about and would be interested to know, you can mail me at groenblad@hotmail.com or HelenaFlorin@yahoo.co.uk.
Love to you all - hope to see you soon!
Navaer,
Nimloth Pearlbloom
