Strider is definitely my favorite! Faramir is probably next, although it's really a toss-up between him and Théoden...needless to say, Denethor is really bringing up the rear

I just love Boromir! I understand him, I think. At least, I relate the best to him. He is loyal and caring and has a deep sense of duty. His brother, Faramir, would be my next choice.

I really respect Faramir and I love his honorable nature. In the past, I have always liked Théoden the best of all the humans and now Faramir has snuck in there and replaced him!

I had to vote for Aragorn. I've been fascinated by him since I first met him as Strider in my first reading of LotR. He has so many traits I like: integrity, principles, courage, modesty, a noble heart (and others that I'm sure I forget right now). Second I'd choose Faramir, another honorable man, who's earned my respect and admiration.

Faramir is my man. He showed his true nature from under Boromir's shadow and proved to be stronger and more steadfast than the favorite sibling. All of this was accomplished without pyschodad's approval.

The blood of Numenor flowed in his veins. The right of Kingship was his. He worried that the sins of the father would be be visited on the son. He knew by instinct that he needed to prove this wrong, and come into his own by his own hand. He was humble, and accepted position out of duty and love of people. He was a man I would follow. A man I would wish to be. My Captain, My King! Aragorn son of Arathorn, Elfstone of Middle-earth.

No one will be really surprised that I voted for Aragorn, I guess... He's the man every man wants to be, and every woman wants him. He's noble, handsome, loyal, couragious, wise... I wonder sometimes if he even has flaws... In any case, I was fascinated by the mystery enveloping Strider at first, and I found that I liked what was lurking behind it a lot!

Oh dear I did not see Éowyn on the list when I voted! How could I have missed her I would have voted for her first of all out of all of these choices! She is the most courageous of the female characters (which weren't many), did not wish to be left behind, stood by her uncle and King when he was down, and challenged and defeated the most wicked of the Nine -- The Witchking! Since I had cast my vote for Faramir, the polls will not allow me to vote again! Whoa is me!

In this I had to choose for Aragorn. I liked that ranger from in the beginning. No other Human could push him off his throne so far (Gandalf is no Human, right? ). And it seems I have some things in common with him, as I always got him as result every time I did a 'who are you most like' test.

My God this was a tough choice! But of course I chose Boromir... it could have been his, it should have been his. I'm with you McDLT. I really do love him. I think he's far too underrated, or something.

Had to go with Eowyn because she kicks all kinds of posterior. She's beautiful, strong, noble, determined, beautiful, independent, formidable, um, beautiful.... ....okay, maybe I just have a thing for Miranda Otto. All joking aside, Eowyn is one of my favorite characters and her battle with the Witch-King is one of the most amazing moments in the story.
