After the dwarves are stowed in the barrels and the elves have cast the barrels into the river, Bilbo "suddenly discovered the weak point in his plan." The narrator suggest the reader "[m]ost likely. . .saw it some time ago." Did you notice any weak points in Bilbo's plan? What did you notice? Did you consider how Bilbo would himself escape and reunite with his friends?

I guess I am just a positive thinker cuz I just figured Bilbo would be invisible and be able to jump out with the barrels....

I thought the same thing, Desi. But I think jumping into the water and/or hanging onto a barrel as they tumbled and bobbed down the river and out the gate would have been somewhat dangerous with or without a Ring! There were quite a lot of barrels and they crashed and smashed into each other along the way. Bilbo had almost as bad a time of it as the Dwarves did--getting dunked and doused that way!
