Hello there! My real name's Kate. I chose this username as a combination of the Quenya words for "misty", "blue", and "water". I was a member of the msn group for a little while under... Nynnea was it, or was that just my RP name. I'm going to rejoin the msn group but thought I'd stop by here first. Well, actually Aelorne recommended I stop by, so indeed I did. I'm currently reading The Silmarillion but I'm still pretty much in the beginning. I'm at the part after Melkor knocks down the two lantern thingies (forget what they're called). If you'd like to add me to MSN, the info's in my profile. Many blessings!

Suilad Ninhiisenen,
I'm glad to meet you! I'd been a TR member only for a few months in the old MSN forum and I love the look of the new forum. Hope you like it too. As for The Silmarillion, I haven't read it in English yet but I think you're refering to the Lamps of the Valar that Melkor knocked down. Keep reading it, it's a great book! I'm definitely going to read it again sometime, when I buy it in English.
Namarie, Greenleaf

I thought the two lamps had names, in fact I know they did, just forgot 'em already, lol! I feel more relative to Nienna than Elbereth, but I couldn't find a good Nienna avatar

The Lamps were Illuin in the north and Ormal in the south. But don't think I remembered the names myself; I had to check them out in the book. And by the way, I like your avatar. It's very beautiful.

Well, I've made the rounds on the boards once and posted where I could relate most. I even tried that writing game where someone gives you a word and you make a sentence. that thing's kinda fun. Oops, you know, I forgot to give them a word, oh well...

Ninhiisenen:
Welcome to Tolkien's Ring--we are glad you followed us over to the new forum.
I only read The Silmarillion once and I didn't remember the names of the two lamps either! But I do know the Two Trees which you will learn about soon are called Telperion and Laurelin. I've been wanting to go and read The Silmarillion over again, too. There is just so much in that book and one reading is not enough.
For the word relation game, you can always go back and modify your post to include the word you forgot to add! The modify option will be in the upper right corner of your post. Just click on it and it will take you back into your post and you can edit it. Easy, right?

Hey!
I'm glad you made it over here! I still have to read The Silmarillion. I started reading it a few times, but I never got past the first pages. I think I'll wait for the Sil Study to start...
Love, Aeleorn

Mae govannen, Ninhiisenen!
I don't believe I have met you before, but then again, I have indeed been silent during the last days of TR on msn. I'm really looking forward to getting to know you better, and I hope to see you around on the boards...
I myself am planning on rereading the Silmarillion some time. But I'm going to concentrate on the Hobbit first, with the upcoming study.
Anyways, enjoy your journeys through Middle Earth with us...
Navaer! Alaere

Greetings Ninhiisenen, and welcome to the new TR. I hope you like the Silmarillion. I only have read it once so far, but a few months ago I planned to reread it again this summer (that is, after the Hobbit lol). I'm looking forward to explore the new boards along with you and everyone else.
Navaer, Orgulas
