Good job, guys. It would be fun to see you sometime. (ps... what is the 'karma' thing? I think mine just went up... although I'm still a Hobbit) { still a Hobbit she says... Hobbit isn't good enough for her, I guess.... always wants to be an Elf, she does}

My understanding of the Karma/Smite thing is as follows: If you like what someone has posted you click on Exalt (guess it's kinda like Bravo) if you do not like what they wrote you click on Smite (sorta like Boo). That's my story & I'm stickin' to it! That's how I'm using it anyway. Vanye

Yes that's basically what it is any member can give karma to another member......I don't see anyone really using smite though!

Are 'Karma' and 'Smite' the default terms for proboards, an option of terms with proboards, or terms created by someone at this board? They're cute. And I notice my karma went up again. I could get into the power of assigning Karma to people

Karma and Smite are terms created by proboards, but I think we have the option of renaming them if we like. We can also disable this option if we do not like it. So if someone goes Smite crazy , we might want to do that. However, I can't see that happening here at TR!

Ah, kool, Stormrider, the new site uploads even on my old Mac, but it cannot run the videos, so I'll sneak into my wife's study after she gets off the PC, and give them a try!
I've been working up some new material for this semester's lectures, so I'll probably be around TR less frequently for a while, but I'll drop in when/ as I am able, just to annoy the old gang! lol!

The videos still take a long time to buffer, even on my computer. I wonder how long they take for someone with cable.
I understand about other duties and we will be glad to have your comments whenever you can find the time. I will just keep plodding along posting on my ROTS and the rest of that series and my findings on the Wild Men.

Our new Dare Devils team will be performing at the Midwest Horse Fair at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, WI on the weekend of Fri-Sun April 18-20. This is their debut performance. Anyway I was looking for more information on the days and times of their performance but the schedule hasn't been completely finalized. Dare Devil Performance Times from our team manager: Saturday at 3:20pm and on Sunday at 12:10pm While perusing the Midwest Horse Fair website, I discovered that SHADOWFAX will be there! midwesthorsefair.com/index.php?page=clinician_detail&post_id=13Cynthia Royal and Shadowfax (his name is really Blanco) will do a demonstration in the Nutrena Arena on these days and times: Friday at 10:00-10:30am Saturday at 10:30-11:00am Sunday at 9:30-10:00am Well, it looks like I will have more to watch than just the Dare Devils!

WOW! That's neat, you get to see Shadowfax! Sounds like a fun outing!
OK, we'll get all the TR members to submit a list of questions for you ask, here's mine:
1. Did you have to work hard to keep Gandalf on your back, or was he a pretty good rider?
2. Just HOW fast can you gallop, 45 mph, 55?
3. How many of the Mearas breed are left in Middle-earth, and did you all come from Numenor, or was your origin Valinor?
4. Numenoreans lived (if they were pure) three times longer than the human average, are you "immortal" like the elves, or do you have a finite span of years, say three times "normal" horse longevity?
5. Could Eorl's horse Felarof really speak human talk?
Oh well, even if "Shadowfax" cannot talk, he sure does look good!

Those are good questions to ask Shadowfax!

The drill team is going to Texas to compete in the national championships again next week. We leave on Monday, June 23 and will be back on Monday, June 30.
Desi and I are busy getting our suitcases packed, our horse gear ready to go, picks, brooms, brushes, saddle cleaner, horse clippers, hay, grain, etc. all lined up to pack the trailer.
If we are absent around here for the next week and half, that is why! I hope Desi takes her laptop with and perhaps, I will jump on line and see what's going on around here--that is, if we aren't busy doing something drill team oriented all the time.

Texas, very hot this time of year, be safe, stay under the pavilion roof! Best of luck in the competition, looking forward to your posting the results!
We'll keep the place alive til you get back on line, then I think I'll be dropping out for a couple of weeks travel.

Andorinha: Thanks for your blessing! We have some great drills, now we just need to execute them precisely and we will have a good shot at a good place. Tons of entries in each division but we will do our best!
I hope you have a nice trip, too. Are you going anywhere exciting?
